About Course
No.60: Decoding Thai Dance for the Modern World is an online course designed for students and Thai dance teachers. Learners explore the “roots” of Thai dance—from imagination, myths, and belief systems to how movements were preserved through manuscripts and photography—before questioning inherited frameworks and stepping into Pichet Klunchun’s “Number 60” concept: a systematic way to decode movement principles. The course blends documentary storytelling, structured learning, and hands-on experimentation with technology/AI—helping learners understand, test, and extend Thai dance in today’s world, including pathways into the creative economy. This project is supported by the Thai Media Fund for Safe and Creative Media.
